Board of Regents

The  is composed of nine members appointed by the governor, as well as a student regent.

Throughout the history of the TTU System, the board has been composed of distinguished and dedicated Texans who have been strong advocates of excellence in academic and patient care programs, meaningful scientific research and responsible public service.

Regents will have a one-day meeting in Lubbock at the Â鶹ÌìÀǸ±ÀûÔº Building.

The Â鶹ÌìÀǸ±ÀûÔº will meet Thursday (May 13) in Lubbock. The meeting will take place in the Regents Conference Room, First Floor (104A) in the Â鶹ÌìÀǸ±ÀûÔº Building (1508 Knoxville Ave.).

Below are highlights of the topics and items to be discussed at the upcoming meeting, including estimated times with periodic recesses. and a of the meeting will be available online.

NOTE: Due to social distancing protocols implemented at the TTU System Building during the coronavirus pandemic, members of the public and media are encouraged to participate in the meeting viewing the livestream.

In-person attendance of TTU System and component institution employees is limited to essential personnel. The meeting room will be utilized at approximately one-third of its capacity and set up to allow for 6 feet of distance between participants when seated. Face coverings continue to be required and acrylic partitions also will be used.

Thursday, May 13

9 a.m. – Call to order; convene as meeting of the board and committee of the whole board

10 a.m. – Recess

10 a.m. – Audit Committee

10:15 a.m. – Facilities Committee

10:45 a.m. – Finance, Administration and Investments Committee

11:15 a.m. – Academic, Clinical and Student Affairs Committee

11:35 a.m. – Call to order; reconvene as meeting of the board and committee of the whole board

Noon – Executive Session

3:25 p.m. – Following Executive Session, reconvene into open session as committee of the whole

3:30 p.m. – Adjournment

This will be the state’s first veterinary school in more than a century and first dental school in over 50 years. The addition of these two schools makes the TTU System one of only nine in the nation to offer programs for undergraduate, medical, law, nursing, pharmacy, dental and veterinary education, among other academic areas.
